Welcome to the programs homepage! The Menominee Recreation Department coordinates a multitude of programs to help keep the community involved, happy, and healthy. Programs are offered for a wide variety of ages, interests, and talents.

Summer Programs
Art-N-the-Park
Every child's imagination is the key ingredient in creating original arts-n-crafts during Art-N-the-Park program classes! With seperate sections of Art-N-the-Park classes based on child age, each participant will have a chance to promote their creativity and artistic skills in an age appropriate setting. Participants are exposed to a variety of mediums throughout program classes, and will be proud to show off their creations! Classes are offered for children 5-12 years old.

Basketball
Basketball fundamentals and skills will be taught alongside teamwork and the rules of the game in all Basketball program classes. With three seperate sections of Basketball classes based on grade level, each participant will have a chance to improve their basketball skills in an age appropriate and fun setting. Classes are offered for children in grades 1st - 6th.

Kickball League
Stay fit this summer or socialize with friends by participating in the Adult Kicball program. This league runs refereed games on Sunday Evenings throughout the summer and concludes the season with an exciting Tournament. The league is meant for high school students and adults.

Flag Football League
Stay fit this summer or brush up on your football skills for the season by participating in the Flag Football program. This league runs refereed games on Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout the summer and concludes the season with an exciting Tournament. The league is meant for high school students and adults.

Leader-In-Training Program
If you are interested in developing your leadership skills, the Leader-In-Training program is for you! By participating in the Leader-In-Training Program, you will have the opportunity to serve your community while gaining valuable volunteer hours and leadership skills! The Leader-In-Training Program is for students ages 13-15.
Senior Activity and Game Days
Join the Menominee Recreation Department at the Menominee Senior Center for activity and game days! The entertaining activities and games are a wonderful way to spend the afternoon. Pre-registration for this program is not required!

Soccer
Youth will build on soccer skills through age appropriate drills and basic fundamentals in Soccer program classes. Children will develop soccer skills in a recreational setting at Spies Field. With two seperate classes based on age, children will be able to build skills at an appropriate pace and level. Soccer program classes are offered for children ages 4-7.

T-Ball/Baseball
Participants in T-Ball/Baseball programs will be taught the fundamentals, skills, and rules of baseball. Boys and girls will be introduced to America's past time in an engaging, and exciting environment through which they will develop friendships, and teamwork skills. With three seperate leagues based on age, children are place on age appropriate teams. T-Ball/Baseball programs are offered for children ages 3-8.

Tennis
Lessons in the Tennis programs are designed to teach proper techniques , footwork, strategies, and rules about the game of tennis. Participants will be able to enhance their skills in a fun and encouraging enviornment. With four seperate classes based on age, children will be able to develop skills at an appropriate pace. Tennis programs are offered for children ages 4-15.

Volleyball
The Volleyball program focuses on the fundamentals of passing, setting, and spiking. Lesson plans for the program include drills built to enhance individual skills while preparing participants for team play. With two seperate camp sessions, the Volleyball program helps to develop players based on their current skill levels. Volleyball programs are offered for girls in 6th- 9th grade.

7th/8th Grade Girls Basketball
The Menominee Recreation Department coordinates 7th/8th grade girls basketball in cooperation with the Menominee School District. This Junior High Basketball league runs under MHSAA rules and regulations.
All open gyms, practices and games for this league are held at Blesch Intermediate School in Menominee.
